Textile Portraits

All of my textile portraits are created from fabric and thread. No inks, dyes or paints are used in their production. Although often mistaken for sketches or drawings my portraits are in fact, textile works comprising of layers of fabric which are cut away whist building up the image using freehand machine embroidery.
